HRCCU Participates at the North Country Festival of Trees
Glens Falls, NY - HRCCU got into the spirit by donating centerpieces for the 20th Annual North Country Festival of Trees to be held November 25th - 27th at the Queensbury Hotel. Staff at the Glens Falls branch worked hard to produce 5 lovely centerpieces which will be auctioned off at the event. Proceeds from the event benefited the Prospect Child & Family Center.




HUDSON RIVER COMMUNITY CREDIT UNION HOLDS CORINTH OPERATIONS CENTER GROUNDBREAKING CEREMONY
Corinth, NY (September 28): Hudson River Community Credit Union (HRCCU) held a Groundbreaking Ceremony for their new Operations Center on Wednesday, September 28, 2011 at 3:30 p.m. at the site located on the grounds of the International Paper Company plant, 5th Avenue, Corinth, NY. The $3 million, two-story, 16,700 square foot Operations Center will be built on a 10 acre portion of the existing International Paper Company property.
3tarchitects, a progressive design and architecture firm located in downtown Albany, NY, was chosen to design the building. 3t focuses on creating designs that resonate with their clients, are community focused, and are sensitive to the environment. Their diverse portfolio showcases the team’s abounding talent, sophistication, creativity, knowledge and experience in the industry.
F.H. Alexander, Inc. of Ballston Lake, NY has been selected as the general contractor for the project based on their experience and reputation as well as their commitment to tap local market resources. The new building will house most of HRCCU’s operational staff. Construction will begin in the fall of 2011 with completion of the building slated for the fall of 2012.
“We are very excited to get this project underway,” says Susan Commanda, HRCCU CEO. “This is an important occasion for the credit union. HRCCU’s roots are in Corinth. The credit union was chartered by a group of International Paper Company employees in 1954. We are thrilled to be able to keep our main headquarters in the community that not only gave us our start, but whose strong support has been a major contributing factor to the credit union’s continued success.”
