Student Loans
Hudson River Community Credit Union offers Interest-Only Education Loans to students with parent/legal guardian as co-signer. While in school, the student will be responsible for monthly interest only payments. A dependent student is one who lives with his/her parents/legal guardian, under age 25 and attending an accredited college or university. Parental Assistance Loans are available to be borrowed by the parents/legal guardian for the student. There is a $25,000 cap on student loans.

CHANGES TO THE FEDERAL STUDENT LENDING PROCESS
The recently enacted Health Care and Education Affordability Reconciliation Act of 2010 (H.R. 4872), eliminates the Federal Family Educational Loan (FFEL) Program on July 1, 2010.
Effective July 1, 2010, we are no longer accepting new applications for student loans through Federal Family Educational Loan Program. Contact your school's financial aid office for more information on securing federal student loans.
