Why Should I Work At HRCCU?
In addition to having a career that challenges and rewards you, HRCCU offers an avenue for fun and community involvement. We go the extra mile for our members!
HRCCU will support the communities in which we serve either by volunteering or providing financial donations. We will encourage employee involvement and participation in community support activities, events, community charitable programs and organizations.
Our employees are also members. They receive the same superior service and respect that our external members do.
HRCCU Team Principles:
- We will care about the person, member of the family and the team.
- We will create positive, constructive relationships.
- We will allow and encourage people to take the initiative to make things better.
- We will work together and will succeed together.
- We will seek out opportunities to change, grow, innovate and improve.
What Makes HRCCU Unique?
Local Decision Making and Contact: Our decision making (i.e. loan approvals) is kept local and as a result, we are quick to respond to a rapidly changing financial environment. We can quickly make the necessary changes to meet our members' needs. Our Call Center is local (Corinth) and when you make a call, you will speak to an employee who is also a fellow HRCCU member.
Locally Owned, Safe, Sound and Growing: HRCCU is safe, sound, secure and locally owned and operated by our members. We are not merging with another financial institution or closing our doors. In 2009 we added 2 new branches and our annual growth rate was 23%. We rank #6 among 100 NYS credit unions for financial performance (above all of the Capital District credit unions.) And for the 66th consecutive quarter, we have earned a 5 Star Superior Rating from Bauer Financial - the nation's leading bank and credit union rating firm that analyzes and reports on the nation's financial industry.
Employee Longevity: We are like family. We support one another, are team driven and retain skilled staff. In fact, combined employment longevity of all our employees totals 497 years! That's an average length of employment of nine years per employee. HRCCU clearly stands above the national average for length of employment.
Hometown Values/Family Ties: We are a community oriented credit union with hometown employees and values. Our employees live, work, worship, attend school and play in the communities we serve. They know their members and understand their needs and are committed to treating members like family.
Member Owned: As an HRCCU member, you have a say in the governance of the credit union.
Fulfill Member's Needs: We give members what they need or want and don't just sell them products for the benefit of HRCCU.
