HRCCU @ The Chapman Museum’s Wine & Chocolate Tasting

“The Chapman Historical Museum is a restored house museum featuring furnishings and historical artifacts depicting life in Glens FallsNew York, United States during the late 19th century. The museum is owned and operated by the Glens Falls/Queensbury Historical Association. The home that houses the museum was originally built by Zopher DeLong and restored in 1968.”

The Museum hosts their annual Wine and Chocolate Festival held at The Queensbury Hotel. HRCCU ambassadors attended the event in support of the museum to help with registration and assisting the Board of Trustees of the Museum in running the event. The event served as a fundraiser to continue the mission of the museum:

“The Chapman Historical Museum presents the history of the Glens Falls – Queensbury community and its connection to the Adirondack region. By encouraging discovery, understanding, and appreciation of the region’s heritage, the museum provides perspective for the present and the future.

To accomplish this purpose the Chapman Historical Museum:

  • Presents exhibitions and programs that encourage greater understanding of the area’s history.
  • Collects and preserves artifacts and archival materials that document the unique history of the area.
  • Maintains a research center that provides public access to the museum’s collections and archives.
  • Disseminates historical information about the area through publications and electronic media.”

In addition, HRCCU sponsored a photo booth and raffled off prizes for all attendees to partake in. Thank you to everyone that attended and we will catch you at the next one!
