What constitues false fraud?

Fraud can be misunderstood in terms of what qualifies and does not qualify as true fraud.

True fraud is any unauthorized purchases not made by you.

Some of the instances of false fraud include:

  • Free trials
  • Subscriptions
  • Renewals
  • Recurring transactions

Another important tip to note, if fraud is indeed suspected and we warn you to cancel your card, or inform you of an action to take, and you refuse – any further fraud is not HRCCU’s responsibility and we can no longer dispute charges or be held liable.
