HRCCU Honors Margaret Rabida for Decades of Service and Leadership

At Hudson River Community Credit Union (HRCCU), our success is built on the dedication of volunteers who generously share their time, talents, and leadership to help serve our members and communities. Few individuals exemplify that commitment more than Margaret Rabida.

We are proud to announce that HRCCU’s Board of Directors has unanimously voted to name Margaret Rabida an Honorary Director, recognizing her decades of exceptional service to the credit union and the Corinth community.

Margaret’s relationship with HRCCU began in 1986 when she became a member. Her passion for the credit union’s mission and cooperative values led her to become more involved, and in 1999 she was elected to the Board of Directors. Over the next two decades, Margaret helped guide the credit union through a period of significant growth and transformation while always advocating for the best interests of our members.

In 2020, Margaret transitioned to the role of Associate Director, where she continued to provide valuable guidance, insight, and support to the Board and leadership team. Throughout her years of service, she earned a reputation as a thoughtful leader, trusted advisor, and passionate advocate for the credit union movement.

“Margaret’s commitment to Hudson River Community Credit Union has been extraordinary,” said Board President Chuck Pasquarell. “For more than 20 years as a board volunteer, she has generously shared her time, knowledge, and leadership to help shape our credit union. Her dedication to our members and our mission has left a lasting impact, and we are honored to recognize her as an Honorary Director.”

Margaret’s dedication to serving others extends well beyond the credit union. She has been a longstanding supporter of education and youth development in the Corinth community through her service on the Corinth Central School Board of Education. She has also been actively involved with the Adirondack Money Growers Investment Club and Corinth Dollars for Scholars, helping local students pursue educational opportunities and achieve their goals.

Her commitment to volunteerism and community service reflects the values that have long defined both HRCCU and the credit union movement itself. Through her leadership, mentorship, and advocacy, Margaret has positively impacted countless members, students, families, and community organizations.

“Margaret embodies the very best of what it means to be a credit union volunteer,” said HRCCU CEO Sue Commanda. “For more than two decades, she has generously shared her time, knowledge, and leadership to help guide our credit union and her community. Her dedication to our members and her commitment to the Corinth community have left an enduring legacy, and we are proud to honor her with this well-deserved recognition.”

The Honorary Director designation is reserved for individuals whose exceptional leadership and service have made a lasting contribution to Hudson River Community Credit Union. Margaret’s legacy of dedication, integrity, and community involvement exemplifies the spirit of this distinguished honor.

On behalf of our Board of Directors, employees, and members, we extend our sincere gratitude to Margaret for her many years of service and congratulate her on this well-deserved recognition.
