It’s no secret that at Hudson River Community Credit Union (HRCCU), we are committed to providing the best credit union services for our members.
As dedicated as we are to our members, we are equally dedicated to helping the communities we serve.
We are particularly devoted to planning and participating in outreach events that assist women and children in our communities, including the HRCCU Annual Golf Classic and Operation Santa Claus.
10th Annual HRCCU Golf Classic
The 10th Annual HRCCU Golf Classic was recently held at the Saratoga Lake Golf Club.
The event was a huge success, raising $25,800 to benefit three deserving local organizations: Glens Falls Area Youth Center, the Cohoes Community Center and the Corinth branch of the Saratoga Regional YMCA.
The event brought together HRCCU’s community of members and vendors whose generous donations help support these great charities.
Proceeds will assist these fantastic organizations that provide after-school activities for children, as well as summer destinations where children can play and interact with others in nurturing and safe environments.
HRCCU strongly believes in the positive community impact that these groups provide and consider it a privilege to do our part to ensure they remain available to children for many years to come.
“HRCCU has generously supported the Glens Falls Area Youth Center for 15 years,” said Matt Congdon, Executive Director, Glens Falls Area Youth Center. “In that time, their financial assistance has equaled more than $100,000. HRCCU’s dedication to the less fortunate youngsters in our community is impressive to say the least.”
Check presentations were made this week to representatives of each company.
“Your monetary gifts have provided food, recreation and education supplies for thousands of local youngsters,” added Congdon.
HRCCU extends special thanks to all who selflessly donated their time, finances, and support to such a worthwhile cause — we couldn’t do it without you.
Adirondack Operation Santa
Always looking for the next charitable contribution to help those in need, HRCCU is preparing for Adirondack Operation Santa, which begins at the end of November.
“Local Money Helping Local Children” is the motto of this rewarding HRCCU community outreach.
Operation Santa Claus makes a brighter Christmas for our area’s underprivileged children each year and helps over 2,500 children in the Capital Region have a Merry Christmas.
With the assistance of over 30 local schools and agencies, this non-profit, volunteer organization gathers information and prepares lists of children and items in need.
With these lists, volunteer “elves” shop for their Christmas goodies and even assist with the deliveries.
HRCCU branches will offer opportunities to buy raffle tickets for a chance to win gift-packed baskets.
All proceeds will benefit children in need from Warren, Washington, Essex, and Northern Saratoga Counties through Operation Santa Claus.
Your donations help provide food, new clothing, and gifts for these children at Christmas.
